Born in Greenville, North Carolina and raised in Wallace and Dunn, Jonathan Ennis has been rooted in service, community, and hard work from an early age. He began his career in customer service and sales while still in high school, first as a local lifeguard in the early 2000s—where he learned the importance of responsibility, preparation, communication, and doing the right thing. Most importantly, it’s where he discovered his passion for serving others. That passion followed Jonathan to East Carolina University, where he majored in Hospitality Management and worked in a wide range of hands-on roles—from cooking and cleaning to maintenance and menu planning. Each position reinforced what would become the foundation of his career: humility, adaptability, and a true servant’s heart. Those lessons eventually led him to real estate, where Jonathan proudly describes himself as “a salesman with a server’s heart.” Before selling homes, Jonathan built an extensive sales background with nationally recognized companies including Verizon, ADT, DIRECTV, Wyndham, and U.S. Cellular. In 2017, he brought that experience to real estate with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, choosing to sell something meaningful, transparent, and essential—homes. Jonathan joined The Kozel Team in 2018 and became the team leader in 2021. Under his leadership, the team has consistently delivered strong results, closing $28.3 million in sales volume in 2021, $27.4 million in 2022, $23.5 million in 2023, $23.8 million in 2024, and $22.5 million in 2025. His performance has earned him Coldwell Banker’s International Sterling Society award in 2022 and 2023, followed by the International President’s Circle award in 2024, and the International Diamond Society Award in 2025. Building on that success, Jonathan is proud to have launched Ennis Realty, a real estate team with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage. After many rewarding years as a member of The Kozel Team and serving as its team leader, Ennis Realty represents the natural next chapter in his career. Destiny? Luck? Jonathan was the person who made our dream a reality. He not only listened to our thoughts and wishes, but he heard what we said. That is a big difference. He toured us through the beautiful beach towns of coastal North Carolina with such an appreciation and knowledge of the area. We knew that we found the best person to help us - and he definitely had our best interest at the top of the list. Our exploration took just about two years - and Jonathan was with us for every moment. Jonathan's respectful and professional work ethic, communication, follow through, and knowledge are exceptional. My wife and I recently closed on our retirement home on OKI. We came here on vacation a couple years ago and fell in love with the island. Almost immediately, we decided we were going make OKI our final home. Now for the fun part, finding the perfect home. We began our search in July of 2021. We, like most, started our search using all the different real estate search engines on line. Pretty quickly, we found a home we wanted to see, and via the search engine asked for a virtual showing. We were hooked up with a realtor, Jonathan Ennis. We had no idea who this guy was, nor was he referred to us. It was simply luck of the draw, and boy did we get lucky. He had no idea the ride he was in for working with us. The first time we met Jonathon was on line, as we were living in Virginia. The first house he showed us, didn't meet our wants/needs, nor did the second, third, fourth, fifth...... I can't even tell you how many houses we looked at, but everytime we called, Jonathan was there, and always with a smile. He never said no. He was always there, and knew just how to call me off a ledge when I needed it. His kindness and willingness to help us find the perfect home never waivered. To say he went above and beyond, wouldn't be enough. So finally, after 2 1/2 years of searching and searching, we almost gave up and were going to look further south along the coast. And then one morning we woke up, and there it was, the perfect house. I called Jonathan and said "I think we found it". Jonathan asked when we wanted to see it and the rest was history. We just closed last week, and couldn't be more happier. The best part part of this story, is not only do I think Jonathon is the best real-estate agent I've ever had the pleasure of working with, he's now considered a close friend. Some friends of mine recommended Jonathan Ennis to me. They had used him to find them a house at the beach. He found them a great house in Calabash. I looked for houses on Zillow during the week and would send them to Jonathan. We would meet on Saturday and drive all day looking at them and the ones he recommended. He never showed or tried to sell me a house that was not in my price range. We looked at over 50 houses in Dec. 2018 and Jan. 2019. I made an offer on one in Ocean Isle Beach NC. Jonathan helped me with the negotiations after it was inspected. I got a good deal on this house and closed on it last Thursday. Jonathan is a great guy. I talked to him today. He checked on the house today and it has been cleaned and ready to move into. I live 250 miles away so Jonathan handled all the little details of this deal on his own since I could not be there myself. Great realtor...I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a house in the coastal area!

Jonathan literally had my confidence from our very first call. He was friendly, funny, and engaging but most importantly honest. I always felt he was working with me to make my dreams come true with the sincerity of a friend, not someone just out to sell a property. I travelled to the area with a list of 12 properties. Jonathan was very informative and quickly helped me weed out listings that were less likely to meet my interest. Once my selection was made he got busy on my behalf clearing obstacles and addressing my concerns, celebrating in our efforts. I’ve bought and sold several houses and can honestly say Jonathan was by far the best agent I have worked with. Very prompt, realistic but aggressive, personable and my whole sales process went as smooth as any real estate transaction can from the initial meeting to the closing. Very, very happy. Jonathan is able to use his laid back/calming approach to make negotiations a win-win for all. He asked that I trust him, I did, and happy I took his lead and the rest is history. He went above and beyond to help us purchase a condo in Sunset Beach, even when we had a sudden change in properties. He always remained positive and professional and kept us informed throughout the process. The reason we selected Jonathan to be our Realtor was based on the circumstances of our first meeting. We thought we had decided on a Realtor, but when our potential Realtor was not available to show us two condos during a day-trip to Sunset Beach, we called the listing agent of the condo that we wanted to see. Jonathan met us that afternoon and showed us that property and another one….in the pouring rain! It was the kind of rain that immediately soaks you to the bone. When my husband and I questioned going to see the other property because we didn’t want him to get out in the torrential rain, Jonathan simply said ‘this is what we do” (and he meant it!). Fantastic employee and helped us in numerous ways. He has researched for us many local stores for items we needed to purchase. He went with the builder as our representative on a walk through which saved me an airline ticket to do the same thing. He power washed our front step which had green mold by bring his own equipment over to clean up the mold. He helped us with Anna Marie to secure a handy man and unpacking service for the many card board boxes. Any time we had a question he responded extremely quickly
